Just because we love Falmouth, doesn’t mean it isn’t nice to get out and enjoy one of our famous Cape Cod scenic drives. We’ve put together a list below of some of the best Cape Cod scenic routes, including Cape Cod Jeep trails.
Old King’s Highway – Perhaps the most famous of all Cape Cod scenic routes is Route 6A, otherwise known as Old King’s Highway.Old King’s Highway was originally a trail that connected various Native American villages. It’s no wonder that history lines nearly every mile of this 65-mile stretch of road. It was named by National Geographic as one of the “World’s Most Scenic Drives”, and Smithsonian Magazine calls it the nation’s “most appealing stretch of highway”.
Orleans to Princeton – This route is one of the shorter Cape Cod scenic drives, going for 25 miles one way. But there is enough to do along the way to fill more than an entire day. This includes the Highland Light and Highland House Museum in Truro, which features the oldest lighthouse on Cape Cod. There’s plenty of coastline to see along this route, as well. No wonder it’s one of the most popular Cape Cod scenic drives.
